Brief Bio: Born Nov 1971 in NY. Grew up in VA. Moved to NY 2007.
I started Oil Painting in college around 1990 and graduated in '94. In college and after I took two Zen/Buddhism classes and Thomas Merton both taught by Cliff Edwards author of Van Gogh and God. The Zen/Art interest somehow led into an artistic Physics influence. I started to regain a new desire to create that was no longer creating a pretty picture. It became similar to the process of Inventing. In this mind-set the creation process gained more of a purpose with interesting possibilities to discover. 2002-04 I painted 5 murals in the Virginia Holocaust Museum. September 2009 I completed 56 String Movement mural on West 56th street in Manhattan. For this mural I received a small MCAF grant from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. My oil painting style is in the Impressionist neighborhood but still evolving.
