West 56th Mural Project

New York, NY - Art Opening on 56th Street for a Mural "56 String Movement" and a Sculpture Garden.
Saturday September 19 2009, 2-9pm on 424 W 56th St at the Mural & Sculpture Garden (rain date 9/21/09).
Musicians Dancers Poets & You are encouraged to perform. Video footage of the mural and interviews will be playing during the Art Opening.

The opening for this project was a great time with live music, dancing, drinks and of course art and strange artists. Please visit the link below to see many photos from the beginning of the project to it's celebration.

This began as an unpaid volunteer project. In ’08 David Scalza, Project Coordinator and Christopher Kull, Artist, applied for a grant from the LMCC Lower Manhattan Cultural Councils’ MCAF Manhattan Community Arts Fund. They received a $2,400 grant in ’09 from LMCC for this project.
